Crêpes are thin, delicate pancakes that can be filled with sweet or savory fillings. Here is a simple recipe for making basic crêpes at home:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions:
- In a blender or food processor, combine the flour, eggs, milk, water, salt, and melted butter. Blend until smooth.
- Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Lightly coat the pan with cooking spray or a small amount of melted butter.
- Pour a small amount of the crêpe batter (about 1/4 cup) into the center of the skillet, tilting the pan to spread the batter evenly.
- Cook the crêpe for 1-2 minutes, or until the bottom is lightly browned. Flip the crêpe and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side.
- Transfer the crêpe to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve the crêpes warm, with your choice of filling.
Enjoy!
